Amazing! I congratulate your success with Metta. Still, I do not forgive their blaze attitude, nor their latent call to action only when you file a lawsuit. This strategy only has Meta doing the right thing when they have something to lose rather than something to gain. Does not speak well of their company Ethos. Reddit still probably a better choice.
Congratulations Elizabeth! What a story, and I guess that's the way to go for anyone whose account is deleted by Meta. It's great that the platform has been such a source of support for you. For me, the Meta brand equity is quite tainted. Years ago, I chose to exit Facebook (before it was Meta) after my brother committed suicide as I found some of the outreach "friends" to me on the FB platform was not supportive. Obviously, this type of outreach can happen on any platform, but I never liked Facebook.
Michal - Thanks so much for your comment. Their brand is indeed tainted. That must have been horrible for you. People are so cruel. These platforms often highlight the worst of humanity.
That is satisfying for you and immensely frustrating at the same time. They have lost control of validating their true customers/audience. I say customer because your account makes them ad revenue in some way shape or form. I kinda am with Henry here… your content is far too valuable to entrust to Meta. They thought nothing of shutting you down and you’d be shut down if you had not gone to court and held them accountable for their crimes against legitimate journalism (and humanity).
Thank you Linda. It's frustrating that Meta has so much power. Very dispiriting. Substack is certainly one antidote. And yes, Henry was so wise. He had tons of Karma on Reddit.
Wow! I empathize with you. That was a lot to go through while grieving the loss of your son. Congratulations, and keep writing. Not only is it a lifeline, you're good at it!

Thank you Erich! I'll always be a fan of Reddit since Henry loved it.
Bravo!!!
Thank you Jessica

Well done. Righting very obvious wrongs 💪 Utterly ridiculous that Meta don’t respond until it gets to court 😳
I agree 100%. Thank you Esther.
AMAZING! I LOVE YOUR WRITING. Go Elizabeth Go!
Thanks so much Sue!!

Thank you so much Nikki. The lawsuit gave me a place to channel some of my anger.
